Deputy Provincial Grand Master - Danny Guy

Danny was born in Bishop Auckland in 1948; his family lived in Close House until 1951 before moving to Shildon. He was educated at the local Shildon Schools until 1963 when he acquired an Apprenticeship with a Darlington Engineering Company “Whessoe Heavy Engineering”. Progressing through the ranks to Senior Foreman until the Factory closed in 1991. After two other engineering position Danny finally re-joined “Whessoe Projects” in 1996 until retirement in 2009.
Danny Married Joyce in 1972, and they have two children and four grandchildren. Danny and Joyce can often be seen walking their dogs around the local amenities, Danny enjoys gardening on his allotment, and eating out with friends. Danny was initiated into Corinthian Lodge at Shildon in 1980, it was not long before he was advanced into Hackworth Mark Lodge in 1983. Danny became a familiar figure in Shildon Masonic Hall where he became a member of nine Lodges and another eleven in other Masonic centres. He was honoured in the Craft with PPrJGW, and in the Royal Arch, Mark, Royal Ark Mariners, Knights Templar, Allied degree and Rec Cross of Constantine with acting Provincial / District rank. Receiving Grand Honours in Royal Arch (PGStB), Mark (PGJO) & Royal Ark Mariner (RAMGR). He has served as Provincial Secretary in the Mark from 2009 until 2016 when appointed as Deputy Provincial Grand Master.
